Conference on Caritas in veritate:

 

The conference on the new popal encyclical Caritas in veritate which we had convened together with the Joseph Höffner society and the Institute of Catholic Theology of the University of Cologne was positively echoed. General meeting

 

The general meeting of our association took place at Colgne on 5th of September 2009. The 70 members had to elect the chairman an his deputy. Mr. Cornelius Fetsch (chairman) and Mr. Dr. h. c. Josef Thesing (deputy) were confirmed in their functions.

Bavarian Order of Merits for Helmut Linnenbrink

 

Mr. Linnenbrink, member of the Executive Committee of Ordo socialis, has been awarded on

7th July 2009 the Bavarian Order of Merits by the Bavarian Prime Minister as

acknowledgement of his merits for the Free State of Bavaria. Thus have honoured his

prominent engagement for many years, as President of the Munich Diocesan Group of BKU

(Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs) of which he nowadays is honorary President, as well

as his activity, for many years, within the presidentship of the commercial Association BAG

e.V. (since 1995 member of the presidency, since 1999 vice-president and from 2003 til 2006

president).

General meeting

 

The general meeting on 4th Oct. 2008 at Cologne was very positively responded. Especially the speech by Dr. J. Thesing, vice president of ORDO SOCIALIS and former deputy general secretary of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation on “China after the olympic games – problems and perspectives” was favourably appreciated.

Great Cross of Merits for Dr. h. c. Josef Thesing

In the name of the President of the German Federal Republic the Prime Minister of North-

Rhine-Westphalia, Dr. Rüttgers, has awarded on September 11, 2008 the Great Cross of

Merits of the Order of Merits of the Federal Republic of Germany to Dr. Josef Thesing,

member of the Board of our association.

Meeting of UNIAPAC at Cologne

 

A short presentation of the new concept of ORDO SOCIALIS has taken place during the international board meeting of UNIAPAC on 1st June, 2007, Cologne, Germany.
