Under this title in November 2012 an international conference was held at Brussels organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the Katholische Sozialwissenschaftliche Zentralstelle Mönchengladbach (KSZ) and Ordo socialis. The addresses and discussions were centered on the idea, if and in what manner the ethical principles of the Catholic social teaching can be realized on the business activities in different cultures.
Dr. Karlies Abmeier from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, member of the Scientific Council of Ordo socialis and Dr. h. c. Josef Thesing, member of the board of Ordo socialis and former Deputy Secretary General of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung have compiled the different addresses and organized the edition.

Prof. Dr. Kirchhof first prize-winner of Ordo Socialis
On November 16, 2013, in a solemn ceremony, Prof. Dr. Dres.h.c. Paul Kirchhof, the first prize-winner of the Ordo-Socialis-Prize, was honoured and presented with a certificate and medal.
The chairman of Ordo Socialis, Prof. Dr. Ralph Bergold, could welcome a large number of participants at the Catholic – Social Institute at Bad Honnef. The chairman of the Scientific Council of Ordo socialis whose members are 40 outstanding personalities from 4 continents, Prof. Dr. Markus Vogt, outlined the tasks and challenges of Ordo Socialis in his welcome speech.
In his eulogy, Prof. Dr. Bernhard Vogel, former Minister President of
Rhineland-Palatinate and the Free State of Thuringia, paid tribute to the special merits gained by Prof. Dr. Kirchhof as an engaged Christian, scientist and judge.
The scholar, who was awarded the prize in acknowledgment and dedication of his striving for solving political problems of public life, elaborated on the values, principles and ordering structures of an economic order in a brilliant contribution on the theme ‘ Christendom and Economic Liberty’.
