In the Corona pandemic, Latin America is one of the hardest hit regions in the world. This is also linked to the many other socio-economic, ecological and political challenges the subcontinent is facing. The Latin American Bishops’ Council CELAM has therefore drafted an expert text that analyses the pandemic in this context and demands measures that go far beyond better health management. The text was prepared by CELAM’s Centre for Science Management. Its director, Dr Guillermo Sandoval, is a member of our Scientific Advisory Board. A summary of the report has been translated by CELAM into several languages, including English.
