In an article for the Journal of Markets and Ethics Ursula Nothelle-Wildfeuer, Professor for Christian Social Ethics at the University of Freiburg and member of the scientific advisory board of Ordo Socialis, sets out that not every form of capitalism is suitable for Catholic social teaching. She outlines the social-ethical essentials of the Social Doctrine of the Church and shows significant similarities to Ordoliberalism and its concept of an Social Market Economy.
